2014 R3T
So, my name is Gary, I do a fair amount of touring & so rack up miles pretty fast, lately on a C109 full dresser w K&N's and unrestricted 2 into 1's. 38,000 miles in a little over 2 years. So I figured its time to sell before it has so many miles on it that if I wanna sell i'd have to give it away. My criteria ... Something at least as fast and comfortable as the 109 that will hold up to high mileage. And hence I purchased a 2014 R3T on March 31st from a dealer in Fredricksburg Va. On the ride home to Nashville it seemed to be in the ballpark power wise to the 109 and That was fine cause I knew it had a lot of potential (i just loaded the tripp tune a couple days ago ... (Wow! Thanks Wayne!). So On the ride home just east of knoxville, traffic slowed fast ... I got on the front & rear brakes and the rear pedal went to the floor. Nothing there at all. I pulled off and checked it to find the caliper overheated, pads fried. So long story short I rode the rest of the way home without rear brakes. It's taken 3 weeks to get a new caliper and its being replaced today under warranty. Cant wait to get to ride it at last :) while waiting for parts i wired in a power outlet on the handlebars, put on some ram mounts, bought a full set of truck-lights and told my wife I wanted a crossover pipe from Paul Bryant for my birthday (step one of many). I've been getting so much good information from this forum ... Thanks to everyone here whose helped me so much to familiarize myself with my new r3t. I think i'm gonna love it.

Congrats Gary, Welcome from Indiana.

I know the feeling. I am only half way through the 500 mile break in. I am going to get the TORS put on it when I take it up for the 500 mile inspection. I got a couple things that need looked at. Accessory lights keep blowing fuse, and I have a small oil leak below the oil tank. Figured I will take my turn at mapping the ECU after the break in period as to avoid wanting to have too much fun. Wife is wanting me to upgrade the seat. We have a Mustang on our America and she wants one for the Rocket. If I must I guess. I am sure the cross over will happen soon also.

Sounds like we are on the same path.
