Amazingly, I got 10K out of the Metz this time (running CT Riken on the rear), but it was truly shot, so probably a comfortable 9K

Now I've installed a Shinko (same specs, radial etc. though only up to 130mph). Price $109 incl. shipping.

Interestingly, measures about a half inch wider than the Metz. Seems to handle fine but only have 50 miles on it so far.

Anyone else tried this tire? Have comments?

Which Shinko? I assume that you mean the 890, correct?

I've had good luck with the Dunlop D404 even though is was not a radial. Given that, I once tried the Shinko 230 which is also bias ply. Didn't like it as much as the D404. I'm now trying out the Dunlop Elite 3 Touring radial. I've been happy so far but I'm not as confident in wet weather as I was with the D404.

Yes, 150/80R-17 (72H) Shinko SE890 Journey Touring Front Motorcycle Tire - radial

I ran the D404 for a while and it worked fine - only got about 7K though
