I installed McCruise on 4 rockets and my advise is to follow the instructions to a tee. They are the best instructions I have ever used. You will love it when your done.
Trapper
Trapper, have you installed the new electronic servo type on a Roadster, my mate had trouble with servo bracket because it would not fit correctly due to the ABS system. How did you overcome this.
I have been talking to MCC Andre they are looking into a modified bracket.
Kit has arrived...has the solid state servo....looks like a frozen cookie dough tube, with a cable coming out. There are some bits whose function is obvious and others which I've no clue. Copious instructions however and there's little I like reading better than a technical treatise! I have a couple other things going on the Rocket at the same time so don't know whether I will complete the other things first. I probably should. I will say, if the cost of shipping is not an obstacle, buying things from down under is a snap! Way faster than getting anything from deepest darkest China
Well, I am up to mounting the servo and routing the cable past the front of the engine. The camera battery died whilst getting ready to mount the CC computer so when charged I will step through the bits I went ahead and did. So far it's all pretty mundane. They make it clear that the throttle cables need to be exquisitely well lubed lest any sluggishness get worse when the CC cable is added to the mix. They do supply some sewing machine oil to give them a good lubing, and while I thought mine were fine they are slick as snot now!
