Mc Cruise Control

I sure want to . . . just saving my pennies so I can install it on my Honda CTX700D automatic.

Surprisingly, with the tiny grips on that bike, my hands begin to hurt long before that time on the Rocket.

The BrakeAway does that for me. I did have to make a small bracket to raise the break release cam by 1/4" to get the BrakeAway feature to work the way I like. I showed some picture in another post. Just a small pull/tap on the brake lever does it now.

Hey be different,

What year is your rocket? From the photo it looks like a R3T? Does the brake away work? As I said, they told me the new version doesn't fit the R3T. Correct or not?

This was the first electronic cruise control I ever used on a motorcycle. The old "wrist rocket" I use on my Boss Hoss is great also and costs about 1800 dollars less than my McCruise cost me. McCruise is the best there is but its a luxury, I'm thrilled with mine. I'm thrilled with the whole bike since I got a custom Clearview windshield and the Long Haul Triumph touring seat with the rider backrest and the D&D pipes and a different tune. Its a great touring bike that even with all the options is cheap next to a Harley or an Indian and its faster. I've spoiled myself with this bike and I especially like that its not just another bike like all the rest, its different just like me.

Mine is a 2013 Touring and yes the Brakeaway does work just fine. I created a couple posts with pictures on what you have to do to make it work and fit properly. First of all, you have to resize the end of the throttle grip evenly to slightly under 1.9 inches. I bought a spare grip,and did this. Secondly, to get to release when you hit the front brake I had to raise the trip cam about a 1/4" as I recall. There are two post showing how to do everything if you're handy. Here are two posts I made that dealt with things you have to do to get the Brakeaway Throttle Lock to work like it should. They are not hard to do if you have a few tools or know someone who does. Sanding the grip down is a piece of cake once you make the jig for doing it. As for the little lift to trip the release cam when you hit the front brake...simple bending of a piece of aluminum, drilling a couple holes and filing a slot for setting the plastic cam in. The plastic cam fits in a slot.
