I have been riding for about two years took the basic riding course and now I'm thinking about taking the Experienced rider course. Have anybody out there taken the course on the r3. What should I expect? I love my R3 its great. I have logged about 1000 miles on it and I can't wait until the weather breaks to get it out and ride.

I wouldn't think you would have any problems, and actually, even though I haven't taken the experienced course on the RIII, I think it's not a bad idea to take the advanced course on any new bike, since they all handle differently and have different capabilities.

The last course I took, our instructor had an Electra Glide Classic and demonstrated every section of the course with it. At the time I was on my little Honda CX 500, which handled the course like nothing.. lol.

I've taken the course on both a Gold Wing and a Valkyrie, which are both large bikes. No problem with either. You'll come away amazed what you're able to do with such a big bike.

I took the course on my BMW K1200LT no problem, the same course on the rocket with my darkside tire (Goodyear Eagle F1) is next to impossible, so if you plan to go to the darkside, take the class before you switch:D. Low speed manuvers are greatly complicated by the dark !! However there is no penelty for going out of bounds, the idea is to understand the technique. The class is excellent and I will take it again, the information and practice is something everyone should endulge in. ( I have been riding for 35 years and over 140,000 miles)

I took it on an FJR1300.

You're gonna have a tough time doing figure 8s in a 20ft box with a 240 rear.
