For Sale LIKE NEW 05 R3 Engine/LOW MILES/MISSING SECOND GEAR

I happen to have the gears in my garage back in CO. I'd probably be willing to part with them for the right price.
New or used and what is the right price? Are you just talking about the 'Update kit" parts or a complete transmission?

It sounds like he may have chewed up more than what the 'Update kit' was intended to fix and only a pull down will reveal.
Evident sound of the shredded flakes moving around when in 1st gear not 3rd +, was obvious to park up.
Even removing his sump and checking flakes or metal bits can be revealing.
@warp9.9 immediately recognized bits of 4th gear in my project 2010 Roadster's sump screens.

They're used from an engine I bought off ebay a few years ago. Not sure how many miles on it. It had some failure with the head that caused the camshaft bearing journals to get eaten up. I used the rest of it to rebuild my bike, but didn't need the transmission parts... so they've just been following me around the world ever since.

They're in Colorado right now, and I'm in Virginia for another month. If you're interested, we can talk more then.

As for price, I don't really know what they're worth. I'll get you some pictures when I get home, and we can barter back and forth until neither of us are happy.

A friend bought a transmission for 200 on ebay a while back. I bought an engine for 750. Both of these examples had issues. Unless its someone you know and trust its all a crap shoot out of a running bike. Like why is it out. Not a problem to get parts and go through but it will have to be made correct or time and money could be waisted. Shipping is what it is. a transmission out of a running bike may cost over 1000 to get right.

Well theres definitely no argue here its usually a crap shoot buying a used engine off a stranger. One that already has issues. But all I'll say is ive been holding onto this gem cause It truly seemed ashame to let go. Was holding out, to one day slowly build into a 400hp+ carpenter/stroker beauty. But realistically, dont have that kind of funding and lacking time to store it where its at, and could use a slight comeup financially. I was riding it fine for a good bit-with second gone- not romping on it by any means, but when I did eventually start to pick up on the subtle sounds I was hearing. I just knew it was a safer bet to park up ( originally already having a scheduled work order to be fixed )-( this is where i was flaunted wt a gorgeous R3 touring, only few grand more..haha couldn't resist!) Needless to say this engine truly was operating superbly! Now I'm more than happy to lay engine over properly to open up for more in depth pics to any actual interested parties
