A month ago after cleaning my engine I tried spraying Armor All on it. It makes it look better than new and touchup is real easy and dirt doesn't stick. After a ride in the rain or long day out with the bugs, just wipes off with ease and then touchup with more Armor All for the next day of riding. I used it on my blacked out engine on my Yamaha Midnight Special years ago, always got lots of compliments on how my bike looked new even after years of abuse.

Wow, I thought I was the only one to try something like that! 8)

Red I use "Turtle Wax 2001". It seems to hold up better than the Armor All and once its cooked on it actually has a shiney "satin" finish. I think it looks great and it will even repel those ****ed "Love Bugs", beleive it or not. 8)

Nice tip, thanks for bringing it up. :)

SS,
That is so funny! I just bought some of that last time I was in auto parts store because Armor All's got lots of bad rap here on the forum and Turtle Wax has UV protector. I'll use that next time. Thanks for the feedback and confirmation. This is why I love this forum, good job!

sounds good, looks like we have the prettiest engines on the forum  Now I just need my PREDS, (hint TG)

should I get black or silver preds?

i used to use wd40 but all the road grime and ****e used to build up on the motor,,im using a tire shiner spray now,,its a no name brand but its alot better htan wd40,,its silicone based and sprays on realy thinly ,,my 2 pence for you all

I have a set of black 3 into 1 predators on my red and black 06 Classic, the black Predators look great with the black engine and the performance is almost scary! Thats a great tip, I am going to have to try the armor all trick.

Thanks for the tip, you got a pic there Tbucket? I haven't seen a set of the black preds yet.

I used the S100 engine brightener once this summer and 6000mi later it still looks great.

Rook & Legman
I checked it out online, I'll try it as soon as my ArmorAll wears out. I'm sure glad I got rid of that Hardley with all those fins on the cylinders and heads.
