Got to work this afternoon and had oil everywhere. Valve cover gasket had a small leak that has turned into a leak that can not be ignored. Need to do the 20,000 valve clearance check anyways (25,000 plus) Have all the parts just need the time. Plan on doing the gas filter at the same time. Might as well just get her done. Seriously thinking about ramair and pipes. At the same time thinking about taking the valve cover to work and checking it out to see how level or straight the mating surface is. Figure it can not hurt to check it out while I have it apart. I guess while the Rocket is down for Maintenance I will have to ride the Harley. Maybe get a for sale sign for the Harley and ride it back and forth to work hoping someone will take notice. The real job is selling the wife on the Ramair and then acting like the pipes are required along with the ramair.This is going to take some delicate maneuvering. Figure the for sale sign on the Harley should help with the BS story on the Rocket. Wish me Luck.

"That bloody additive they have just started putting in the fuel is gonna make the bike run sooooo lean...lean is NOT good Darlin!...might cost a bit down the line to say nothing about the backfiring which is really gonna piss the neighbors off!!...looks like I will have to put a bloody Ramair on now!!! ****, I didn't want to do that!!!".................might work?
 
Just have her consider the unbridled happiness she can bring you by supporting this project!

Plus, any efforts to rid yourself of a harley should be encouraged :)
