I would have got their attention if I landed on my back and my bike continued on its way.

I admit, I am a torque slut.

Which brings to mind an old joke..... Do you know what torque is? It's when you wake up in the morning with a pee hard then try to push it down to take a leak and your feet fly out from under you.
