I fitted the Jars on to the bike last week.. am wondering how can i check for any leaks on the joints, especially where the header meets the exhaust.
The exhaust to header unit was a little loose fit and i put an extra pipe clamp on there just to be sure, but still wondering what is the best way to check.
Use an incense stick or a cigar and let smoke drift up to the area you want to check. The heat of the motor will move the smoke a little but a leak will be obvious to you.

take it apart and use some
Thermosteel on it.
It's made for fixing leaky exhausts.
Will seal it right up and the hotter it gets,
the tougher it becomes.
Goes on like a puddy.
Made by cargo.
part no.18003.
good to 2,400F, or 1316C.
High temp stuff.
About $5.00.
..and if ya use the burning incense stick, ya gotta smoke a blunt while you're doing it..that way, even if ya do have a leak......you won't care!!!.. ..
xhd.. i did use permatex high temp silicon to create the exhaust gasket.. hopefully it would have sufficed. Am out of town now, but will check on saturday when i get back home. I'll check up on the Thermosteel stuff you mention, thanks for the tip!
Bud- would have surely done that 'xcept i don't smoke  but ill drink to that
