Just looking at the Rock 3, going for test ride today and wanted to say hello. Also, I like the style and weight of the 2019 and 2020 models. Can you tell me if there is anything I should look for on getting a used one, 2019 as I would like to save a boatload of money! I currently ride a Honda vtx1800 r 2007. Thanks !

If they are selling you a 2019 model keep it as it was the only one made in 2019:roll:, the 2004-18 bikes are completely different beasts than the new 2020 ones, I would say ride both and of course budget restraints will come into play as the new Rockets will cost you $23000 plus, now the older Rockets are as cheap as chips.

All Triumph offered for 2019 is the 2.5 liter TFC model that is 29,000 bucks. Look at the 2020 GT and R models. Used will be hard to find at this early point. Now 2016 to 2018 2.3 Rockets are out there. If you really want to save some Bank, Look at the 2006 to 2009 standard 3 pipe bikes. You can sometimes find these models for under 5,000 bucks. Recently in my area a 2009 with only 970 miles went for $5500.

Thank you for the response! The older models I hear are so different, much heavier. Is the motor about the same? Not quite as big I assume, right?

The cheap as chip ones people don't want for a reason I assume. :D

hello Maurice and welcome from Virginia. Those older bikes are great, just marketing tells people to believe they must have the newest hottest thing out there. I don't buy into that keeping up with the Jones bologna.
My 2014 has 72K miles now and it has not been babied in a garage. It gets ridden all year and sleeps outside under a cover.

I agree with you, the marketing is fierce. But I have to ask, have you ridden a 2020? Just got back from riding one, very flickable, even slow maneuvering is easy!! I do like the looks as well. Standard cruise etc. Not trying to keep up with the Jones, just sayin,,
