Just joined the group and thought I'd say hello!
Too much salt on the roads here to ride the rocket so waiting for spring.
Had the Rocket since September and it has to be the best bike I've ridden. Minor problem in that it sometimes - randomly, just won't start. The tacho and speedo sweep, the lights go off when the starter is pressed but then nothing. I'm hoping its a bad earth and nothing more expensive. I've changed the battery and the problem still exists about once every ten attempts.
Anyway I'll hopefully get it sorted soon and get some riding done once the roads are clean.

Hi Bonnie,
welcome
hope you get your proplem solved shortly.
I did only 15 Miles on the bike today, after that my fingers were frozen (minus 10 degrees but sunny)
greetings from Germany

Welcome

Welcome Bonnie,

Greetings from Florida. I'm waiting for the fog to clear before riding today. It's going to be warm and sunny here. I grew up in snow country and had enough of that.

This is a great resource for solving problems. I would bet someone will have it solved for you before the end of the day.

Welcome to the forum.

Nate

Welcome 74bonnie. I'm with you on the ground terminal as a possible problem. I have several additional leads on both terminals. Having the wrong order of piling on the connectors was a temporary problem for me. A bit of die electric grease may help to keep the oxidation/corrosion down. I imagine you're subject to periodic high humidity conditions. Using die electric on the many connectors throughout the bike has been recommended by several Captains.

Welcome aboard from Oklahoma where today it was around 75 degrees f. Tomorrow may snow though.
Like they say, if you don't like the weather in Oklahoma, hang around a minute or two, it'll change..

Welcome to the best place to gather info on the R3, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.

I might have you check the bolt, if they are anodized that would do it as well. Welcome 74bonnie it is raining here in NW Fl presently but plan on getting out later today.
