Ive been a member for a while now,and have considered may times to buy a Rocket, but the problems Ive seen some of you guys have with your bikes has scared me away,I am still wanting one, maybe buy one over the winter season, what is your guys feedback, are these bikes lemons or not??

Problems on a forum, even this one, can make it seem like all Rockets (or bikes) have all kinds of problems. The only problem I've had has just occured at 38,000 miles and that is the Throttle Position Sensor, which is probably the most common problem, and is a relatively easy fix.

Other than that, my Rocket is my daily rider back and forth to work every day, with some hot rodding here and there on bike nights.. occaisional high speed corner carving fun, ( well corner carving in an 800lb sort of way.. :D ) and an occaisional cross country jaunt, whether it be to Sturgis, Colorado, Arkansas, Louisiana.. I'm not really afraid to take it anywhere.. It really is a great do-it-all bike.

The forums only represent a small part of Rocket owners.. I know there are many more Rockets out there than there are active posters on any of the forums. Otherwise, there would only be about 25 - 30 Rockets in the whole world..

A few minor irritants over 4 years of ownership and 51'000 k's, granted. But so much pride of ownership and even more riding pleasure:D

Would I do it again? YOU BET!

So universally true (regardless of cultures, languages, subject matters, experiences, etc.) TxRR.

The good thing about the forums, especially this one..

Is that IF you do run across a problem, chances are you will be able to find enough information about it to either A) fix it yourself, or B) be familiar enough with the problem to be able to discuss it with your dealer's service rep.

I wouldn't look at the forums as a consensus on reliabilty. Shoot, if you do that, then all GoldWing frames will crack, all BMW final drives will explode, all Honda NightHawk 750s will run forever.. (Oh.. I believe that last one is true.. lol)

And every one looks sexy on their bike:D

Get one, just make sure its Black, cause its all the Red ones that are defective:rolleyes:. Seriously, nothing else is a rocket, it really is in a class all by itself, not a sport bike, not a cruiser, not a street fighter, its a combination of the best of all of them. get one, you know you want to...
