Well Colin....welcome from Timmins Ontario and the home of Shania Twain. That is one great wife you have there. Mine did the same thing on my 60th and let me purchase a new Roadster mind you I had to let her travel around Australia for a month on her 60th. You will be amazed at the performance and handling of the Rocket along with the never ending questions about the beast at every stop. Enjoy!

I've been riding legally for 43 years, and my current ride is a Street Glide, which I've owned for 6 years and nearly 67,000 miles, which is pretty good for the Chicago area.
Well, it time for me to return to my roots. In July, my darling lady is buying me a Triumph Rocket III for my 60th birthday ☺☺☺
Joining this forum gives me about 5 month's to do my homework on all the mods I'll want to do.

Hello Colin757, and welcome to this forum. Like you, I'm an Englishman who has been living in the USA for 28 years (arrived November 1987). The difference is that I'm in Cleveland, Ohio and have been riding legally for 44 years.

You'll find the Rocket is a very special bike. Well before your first ride you'll learn that this forum is the absolute best!

Just so you know coming from a guy that made the same mishap (that someone pointed out not so graciously) is you are posting to a thread that was last posted Feb, 2017. Colin left in May of 2017 and was never heard of again. If you are an honest to goodness time traveler then I apologize. Just pretend you knew this just like I did. Welcome aboard and glad to see another Cali resident.
