Help with P0201, P0202, P0203 and P1500

2005 Rocket III
2005 Rocket III with 20k miles, K&N filters, D&D pipes

Bike sat for 6 months, it started up for about 30 seconds, started sputtering and died.
Tune ECU gave the injector codes.
Removed tank and disconnected fuel line to the rail, turned on the key and it pumps fuel.
Voltage to injectors is 12.8v
Checked injectors ohms, they sit at 11.7
Removed air cleaners (K&N) sprayed fuel in the chambers and it STARTS but will not stay running
Tested 3 relays on left side and 2 on the right, all check out fine
Cleared the codes tried restarting and got code P1500
Checked all connections I could find!

I am at a loss, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
 
1500: Speed circuit fault

I seem to remember that can be caused by certain adverse road conditions, as the wire and the sensor are on the very bottom of the engine. And there are a couple more items on that circuit that are affected, if the fault is with the circuit.

Would be good if you have a neighbor, a good neighbor who would lend you their speed sensor, just to isolate the problem to the unit, or the wires.
 
Speed sensor won't stop it running but will need to be fixed ultimately - if reporting error more likely to be simply disconnected or wire broken at the connector

If starts with fuel directly into the TB's then it points affirmatively to a fuel supply problem - you have already validated the pump works.
Possible injectors gummed - remove the fuel rail leaving injectors installed and see if they spray when cranking
 
Well I got the fuel rail off but the injectors came with it.
Fuel rail is clear although there is some rust corrosion inside at the front cylinder.

Correction on the injector ohms, 2 are 11.2 and 1 is 11.1,,, seems low?
Any suggestions on how to clean out the fuel rail?
Is there a way to clean and test the injectors?

That was what I meant by 'leaving the injectors in place (on the rail) - then connect the fuel rail and crank and see what sprays/doesn't
The resistance difference is nothing - rarely fail electrically anyway, just can get gummed up
 
She Runs!!
Since I had the fuel rail off I took the injectors to be serviced at a local shop.
Also drained the fuel out, it looked kinda orange at first.
Put in new fuel and it started right up, sputtered for a min then started running fine, cleared the injector codes but the P1500 is still there.

Strange thing is, Tune ECU is not reading any TPS??
I am guessing the speed sensor has something to do with the speedometer not working? Is that an easy fix?
