Got my shiny new Rocket 2 days ago, put LED front turn signals/mirrors and rerouted the wires for the rear turn signals in order to fit the license plate relocator yesterday. Took it out for a ride, now the speedometer doesn't work. The LCD odometer and trip meters light up but show "0" miles, and the speedometer needle stays at zero, so looks like it's getting power, but maybe no signal. I did remove the right side panel and moved a couple connectors around to get at the rear blinker connectors, guess I'll try those first. Any ideas?? Thanks.

I have had that happen when I blew a fuse. An accessory wire I added for a GPS caused some problems and the fuse would do just what you describe on the instruments. Sorry I don't recall which one, (it's red! ) in the little panel to the left of the battery box under the seat. Good luck.

Checked the fuses- all OK. Wiggled the connectors under the right side cover. Found another thread here about a dead speedo, so will check the connectors under the left side tank and the connector near the sidestand bumper.

I jiggled all the wiring I could see, no go. Now the odometer is stuck at 10 miles. I can toggle through the trip meters, but the speedometer needle never moves. HELP!! My dealer is 100 miles away.

time for a nice rode trip - call and boook the spot ahead of time and tell him your riding in and out same day. i think its a short myself.
