Do the Rockets suffer from the same overflow design flaws as the 1050 Speeds?

Dont know about that - but relocating the overflow allows more air flow around the Ramiar or other throttle body fitted filters. If you fit an open front bearclaw you don't want your overflow bottle in the way of the fresh air.
