Heat-related problem

Just a thought, tomorrow after work, go to a local watering hole and pound a few brewsky's. Wait 'til the weather cools down and then ride home and see what happens.

I can do this one better. I'm a teacher so after today I can start pounding brewskys INSTEAD of going to work!:bch::bch:

When it starts to act up, give it a big fist full of throttle and see what happens. If the bike acts normal (accelerates like a scalded cat) then the problem may be in the ECU when it goes into 'closed loop,' since it will lean out the mix. I wouldn't think that is the case, but it's worth lookling at. If once you return to normal steady speed the bike runs like it should for a time then begins to do it again, it may be your plugs are fouling and not the ECU at all. (You know the fuel pump is working OK). Easiest way to check the plugs is replace them (can't hurt except in the wallet).

Turned out to be the intake air temperature sensor. Replaced plugs and balance throttle bodies and its running like a champ again!

Howdy, I have a mysterious problem. hard to explain but I give it a try. Problem is a bit like the one disgussed in this thread. I Changed the triple K&N´s, and since then there´s been like choking effect while driving. Bike chokes and spats (backfire?) and dies with jerk, if there´s enough speed it starts to run again. This happens usually couple of times per start/run sometimes when idling. Especially when wet. Bike runs better on could dry weather???

Things checked/done:
Changed battery and plugs.
No relation to tune, happens with every tune.
Fuel filter changed.
Throttle bodies balanced.
Vacuum tubes checked, seemed to be okay.

I tried to be carefull with air temp sensor, could this be it and if it is what can be done? Or is this something else not related to K&N installation? Ignition switch, coils??
