Old Gringo
Supercharged
Hey Yaw'll. I live in Texas and I'm a new R3 Touring owner. I rode a Triumph back in college (1968 - 1972) and then got away from motorcycles for a few decades. In 2003, I bought a Suzuki 805 and finally gave it to my son a few years later. In 2009, I bought a 2007 Sporty 1200. In 2013, I traded the Sporty in on a 2007 Victory Kingpin. I loved the Victory, but a chance came up for me to get a bike I've been lusting after for a few years. So, after only one year with the Victory, I traded it in on my 2013 R3 Touring. I've only owned it about three weeks and I'm ready for a few mods. I've always owned "loud" motorcycles. My R3 is not loud. In addition to enjoying a little sound, I think a moderately loud bike helps announce your presence to blind people operating cars and trucks. I'm springing for a D and D exhaust, K&N and a remap in the next week or two.
I've been trying to talk my old biker buds into taking a trip out to Shooters Grill in Rifle, CO when the weather warms up. Unfortunately, I'm hanging with a bunch of geezer-babies because they all whine about that being too far. I guess I'll have to go solo. For any of you 2nd Amendment folks out there, look up Shooters Grill on You Tube.
Happy trails.
