I am trying to install the new T/B and following all the instructions to a T but for the last 2 hours I have had no luck. It keeps coming back and telling me that the T/B is not registered to the my ECU serial number. I am entering the code that they sent excatly as they sent it to me. But still no go. Has anybody else had this problem?

T,
that tune boy is way above my technical skill level.
Wish I could help ya out.
Good luck,
I'm sure somebody will be along directly to tell you what you're doin' wrong,
and how simple it really is, and aren't you glad you bought a tuneboy.
Technology is a wonderful thing,
when it works...

Are you able to get connected and read your ECU serial number?

Are you sure that they sent you the key for your ECU and the ECU serial number belonging to the original purchaser?

Also make sure you are clicking save after entering the key in on the properties screen.

Brand new and never used or just brand new from someone who might have tried to use it before you?

Brand new still in box but from me. I couldn't get support from tuneboy to explain where to start. T knows the whole story thank you very much.

Yes it was new and never used and myself and Stripes both talked to the T/B folks and they sent me the unlock code only after they had had received the ok from Stripes. So I am sure that is not the problem.
It just kept coming back and telling me that the unlock code is (not registered to this ECU).
I entered the code that they had emailed me exactly as they sent, I copied and pasted, I typed in small cap but after 2 hours of trying every combo of loading and plugging in the cable and having the bike on when I plug the cable in to etc...
I finally throwed my hands in the air and re installed the PCIII and down loaded the map that they have for D&D exhaust and pod filters because I was getting frustrated and I was wanting to ride a little before the got down to far and cooled off to much.
I took the bike out and there is more noise from the throttle bodies but only when you open it up. It runs strong but the ONLY reason I am wanting the T/B is to remove the top speed limiter and sure enough. The bike will run up to 130 mph in 4th and 125 mph in 5th. The SOB just bounces off the electronic govenor and the more it does it the more pissed I get. And we all know that these speeds are off by 7% which makes it only worse.
For this reason I will continue to work with the T/B so I can move the limiter up out of the way and correct the speedo. One of these days

registry

In the online tutorial, or maybe in the pdf file there is a procedure to clear the registry, after which you can re-enter your key. That might let you in.
If that doesn't work for you I would suggest going to the windows uninstall, then re install the program, you can download the latest from tuneboy. That would give you a fresh start. Apparently you can affect the program while looking around in it trying to get familiar with how it operates. Good Luck.

I had read that about uninstalling the program and then re installing. I have done that once and then when I went back to reinstall from the CD, my computer had trouble reading the cd and after several tries it finally reinstalled. I might try to uninstall it again then try it?

T don't give up the ship I remember how hard it was for me when I first got it. I thought I wasted my money when in fact it was just me who was doing **** wrong. You might have to get the ecu nuber again and send it back to Wayne so they can double check what they issued for a Key as no one is perfect. My point is don't let it bother you It gets much better as you learn it hell I look like I am an expert computer geek with mine now and well I am not computer savy!
