Found the problem that causes my starting issue but one more question

Hi all,

I found what caused my starting problem. It is the connector in the cable between the ignition and the rest of the bike. But while I was searching for the problem to appear of course I had the ignition on and found out that the white cable on the pic. gets really hot. Because of this also the connector feels hot. Before I go and have a new connector installed is it wise to rewire this white cable in a different way?

it is imperative that ya do the 'eastern beaver mod'..it's in one of the stickys..then replace the cooked wires.

+1 (the solder point in the switch will actually melt from the heat - leaving you with a dead bike that won't start)
