- 2020 KTM 1290 SAS..2022 KTM 1290 SAR
Hello, I've been riding Adv. bikes for the last 20 years and now I'm thinking about something totally different. A '24 GT. I took a short test ride on one, and was surprised at how it handled for what it is. Suspension seemed decent too. I have to admit I'm a little apprehensive about whether I'll bond with it. Or take a $4k or so hit if I don't. Decel popping put me off a bit. But I guess you get used to it. Maybe its the short exhaust. Turned 67 in March, and I feel the clock ticking. I like my KTM's for the low end torque, which is what drew me to the R3. It wouldn't replace them. At least for now. I still like railing turns. One bike I looked at was all black. If I got that one, I'd probably paint it competition green like on the Thruxton final edition. Always liked that color. I saw a nice speed twin a guy did. Cool ghosty union jack.
Anyway, here's my bikes. 2020 SAS and a 2022 SAR. I have the original wheels for the R with knobbies to go back and forth dirt or street.
