Ok though, the 245/55 should not rub on Rocket III standard right? I am planning on this route soon. I really like the fat tire look.

I've been waiting for my 2nd metz to wear out and have a Goodyear Eagle F1 245/50 ZR16 GS-D3 92Y (1389lbs load rating @ 186mph) waiting in the wings. I understand that is about the limit of what will clear. If it rubs at all I'll be sure to post a warning. With the weather like it is ... probably won't see it mounted until late next summer. The 1st one only lasted 8,000 miles, don't expect more than 10,000 out of this one.
I have that Rivco chrome drive shaft cover, that may have to come off. We will see.

I had the same issue. That is why I went with a car tire. Four times the wear at 1/4 the cost.

'Only 7000', YIKES!
I was on steel belts after 3500.
CT rules. Love my Riken Raptor.
Now my front tire, I did get 7000 on that, before I hit the cords.

You need to get out on the pavement, more fun.
