Has anyone used the 3into 2 from D&D ? They sound good and add some power. Would like your input good or bad as I'm considering it for the spring

I have them. They are VERY loud. It's essentially an open exhaust with some stainless baffling. I like the sound and I definitely feel the extra torque and hp. At 2000 rpm with the stock exhaust, the bike buzzed and felt like it was lugging, even tho it wasn't. With the D&D's at that rpm it feels solid and you can hear the engine note clearly. At higher rpm they scream real nice. There is major decel popping, but I don't care. I've read that the Triumph tune for cat delete and TORS reduces power, so screw that.

I bought them used, and the mounting bracket did not line up the pipes properly; they were hitting the swing arm. I had to flatten the bend in the plate some to get them to fit right.

They also sit much higher than I hoped. I wanted extra clearance to mount a big set of hard bags (Givi E41's) with EasyBrackets. I'll have to fab an extension plate and sandwich it in to set the pipes lower.

You'll be much happier with the right tune.. whether it be Triumph's or you use a PC-III or TuneBoy. I've run a PC-III for a couple of years now and am happy with it and probably won't change, but looking back, Tuneboy is the better option.

Thanks
How much noisier is the tune boy over stock. Looking to man up the sound a bit but not get to the annoying stage.

I use Tune-boy with Vances&Hines,Daytona carbs and such. Works great with decent milage to boot.

Have you checked out the sound bytes in the 'Rocket Resources' - 'Multi-Media Library'?

You can 'sorta' getta a notion what they sound like.

The D&D's are loud. Not a little bit louder, alot louder. Wake up the neighbors loud.
