Events between June 26 and July 10

I'm looking for things to do between June 26 and July 10. I'm on vacation for four weeks and only have the week of the 11th thru 17th planed. We live in Delaware and will be taking a ride to Niagra via O.C.C. and the worlds biggest ball of twine on the last week. The wife is barely agreeable to go on the planned trip as it is and I want to spend MORE time cruisin' around without her before the Niagra trip. SO, I'm looking for ideas on any events happening anywhere near that I can crash. I read about that Dragon thing and there is a possibility, has anyone else heard of something going on? We could start something of our own if anyone besides me has the time and gumption to take off and do something off the wall. Maybe there is a giant non-stick frying pan you always wanted to check out? I know there has to be a bar somewhere near that deepest hand dug well thats worth stopping at for a beer.

my wife and I are going to be in maggie valley July 2nd torough the 6th to finalize the plans for the fall rocket launch. This is close to the dragon as well as many other great roads. blueridge parkway, hellbender, cherahola skyway just to name a few. send me a PM if you would like to meet up......

Scow I would enjoy looking for you there, but as it stands now the 4th is the ONLY day I'm stuck with the fam. Who knows, something could change and I want to go to the event so I'll let you know before hand. Thanks for the suggestion, sounds exactly like what I'm looking to do while I have time off. Maybe I'll have you PM your cell phone number and I can yell at you if I get there.
Rat I did check that site, I saw the Dragon there but not much else. I picked a poor time for vacation. I missed the rocket trip and some other good ones, I'll know better next year.
