Six months or so ago, I fitted a Weapon-R 24 oz coolant recovery bottle to the backside of the radiator and it fit great. Unfortunately, I just fitted Triumph engine dresser bars (crash bars) and the previous location for the coolant bottle is no longer available.

My thoughts are to somehow attach the coolant bottle to the inside of the left crash bar. The question is how?

Any ideas?

For the short term, I may just run to the parts store and get some hose clamps and tie it onto the bar. At least that will get me back on the road until one of you brilliant customizers can come with a suggestion.

How about going to a co-op school, having them weld a aluminum catch can that fits your dimensions.

Do you still have the original tank to put back? It's got to look better than clamping a tank to the bars.

Yeah. Don't want to but that may be my temp solution.

I found some clamps that are not too expensive that will fit the bars but they'll take a few days to get here.

The custom tank idea has some merit. Might have to check that out.

Interesting. I did mine almost exactly like yours. guess i won't be installing crash bars anytime soon.

Yankee ingenuity is an American English reference to the self-reliance of early colonial settlers of New England, United States. It describes an attitude of make-do with materials on hand. It is inventive improvisation, adaptation and overcoming of dire straits when faced with a dearth of materials.

Skip, I've just made you an honorary Yankee.:D

Yikes. I'm afraid to inquire about what else Skip has found around the barn or outhouse to nail, rivet or glue to the embarrassed Rocket:D

Dracul, check out his pics. Skip's built an awesome 3 ft sissy bar, complete with what appear to be hood ornament rockets. I think it looks great!

Personally, I believe he came up with an elegant solution. Perfectly hidden location, ideal material, little to no cost answer.
