Drive shaft / Bevel box UPDATE with pictures

Triumph have steped up and are replacing my diff and uni-joint drive shaft
it is a good will . i had to go all the way to Triumph UK to get the nod.A tip from them .quote.It is recommended (for future reference) that the final drive splines be greased at regular servicing intervals, & also checked whenever a rear tyre is to be replaced. Glad we were able to come to a happy conclusion for you Peter, & hope you have many more years of loyal Triumph ownership.

I am just using a moly grease right now as it is better then nothing after my tripp to maggie valley I will pull the drive unit down and check to see how the grease fare's out. Mean while I will reseach a substitue including calling Honda and BMW if I have to.
On the plus side it is very easy to tear her down and check it.

When you got the tire off is it just wat it looks like take the shock and the 4 acorn nuts off and you can pull the drive box off do you have to becarefull of pulling the drive shaft out of the trans or wat???

Good thats the lube I'm using anyway. I will keep an eye on it to see how long it last. I just lubed and I will check her after the fall Rocket Launch. I should have my Predator system early next week with any luck I might have them on for the trip.

its a dry tube I would say if you have a oil drip it is coming from the output shaft area. pulling the bevel box is simple to do.
