I am excited to come across this forum-I found it while trying to research the 2010 R3 Roadster. I am seriously considering buying this motorcycle but am having reservations-about half of what i read screams "red flags" and about half the folks have never had a problem. It does seem that most of the issues i have read about were with earlier models-Douglas

Go for it !!! .. buy it and roll the dice like everyone that buys ... well ... anything really Welcome from one of the Aussies ( more of my countrymen will be along shortly Douglas )

Yup here's another Welcome from Auss,
as TC said you take a gamble with every bike or car you buy just go and look at some of the horror stories the BMW onwers report I have a Mate that that had a mottor literally shake it self out of the frame and BMW didn't want acknowledge it till he threatened Legal action, then theres the broken diffs the list goes on.
You will find that this forum will help you sort any gremlins if they sirface and yes the early models had a couple of issues but there are a hell of a lot of the Old Girls (high mileage) out there with out ever having any issues

Another welcome from Downunder. (Sh1t we're a friendly lot!). Half the owners of Rockets haven't had problems???? Where do these numbers come from? I know of maybe 2 owners who were unfortunate enough to buy lemons and pretty much everyone else just accepts that these magnificent machines are machines. That means they have occasional issues and generally easy fixes. I ride my Rocket every day and have total confidence in it. Sure Triumph could have done better in a few areas but so could every one who makes anything mechanical. So stop worrying and just go for it.

Oh , by the way Douglas i've done nearly 100,000 klms on my Rocket since i purchased it new in January 2009. Best bike i've ever owned and i've had a few

I don't think you are rolling the dice at all. 2010 Touring with 20k on it ( I bought it new in 2011) and never a problem. Spent all that time searching out the hidden horsepower and loving this scooter. Best I've ever owned and I have owned a few...except Harley. My friends talked me out of those by bragging about all the problems they have had....

Welcome from the great state of Oklahoma
Go buy it you will not regreat it
