Changed my differential oil today which I'll be posting a video on eventually. This is how it looks after 2000 miles. I always change it when I change my emgine oil since its cheap and a easy procedure. Last thing on my maintanance list to do will be lubing the drive shaft splines.

looks nice and clean. How much fine metallic stuff was on the magnetic plug? My first change had the largest amount of filings present (which wasn't alot) but with continued changes, gradually dropped next to nothing... This is normal as your final drive breaks in.

No so much on the plug but was in the bottom of the drain pan. Not a ton but enough to notice. This is the second oil change I've done on the differential.

i do the same but i know that oil is good for 50K aka the LIFE OF THE BIKE. there is nothing more satisfying then draining clean oil and putting more clean oil back in knowing that i can just spend random $ for no reason other than to flex to the oil gods.

and $40 and a ton of cursing when you snap the drain POS hollow bolt by following the BS manual of a gajillion NM
Doesn't seem to be that problem on the second gen rockets. That would be frustraiting if it did happen I suppose but then again I'm a machinist so it's nothing I haven't had to fix before plus being from the rust belt I'd probably just heat it up first if that was a known problem.

On the Gen 1 bikes I have always been careful to torque the drain plug to 15 nm. Mine snapped loosening it to drain the lube. Surprise me. Since I always change the final drive lube with an oil change, I just replaced it with a normal bolt. No more worry of snapping. I'm not worried about not having a magnet since my drain interval is so short.
