Changing blacked out exhaust for stainless.

Haha....I was hoping you would try it first and report back with a verdict on the subject.

I haven't got anything to try it out on. I'm just considering a new bike.
But as I see it, if the metal is the same as in the earlier bikes, I myself, wouldn't be frightened to strip the paint off......er.... ....unless its a ceramic coating.
I'd have to do an experiment on the back of one of the heat shields......I would if I had one, for sure.
 
 
UPDATE: Aside from getting to the bolts on the exhaust tips, the transformation was very easy as all the stainless parts from the pre storm GT bolted right on.

Looks good... One of the reasons I bought a '24 leftover is because I didn't care for the blacked out look on the storms. And since I can load a tune (if I ever figure out how) to get a supposed 30 HP, the extra 15 didn't matter to much. I do like the lb. less wheels though.

As far as radiator cap vibrating off.......Don't know what year you have, but my '22 has a small flathead screw that holds the radiator cap cover in place (see pic). This is just a cover, not the radiator cap itself. You must have the screw missing.
This is a very strange feature, but seems to be necessary.

I do in fact have a screw missing or loose at best but it’s not on the Rockets Radiator\Oil covers. I have a 2020 and there aren’t any screws used to hold it down. I don’t have the problem but a few Captains on here have had the covers fly\vibrate off. It is strange to have to rely on a screw but it is what it is.
 
By the way, my '22 doesn't have that screw on the oil filler cap. I haven't been concerned. It seems secure IF tightened properly
