Brake pad longevity

How many miles are you guys getting out of your front/rear brake pads?

I've got 19,500 miles on my bike and haven't changed them yet, and haven't noticed any problems whatsoever. I use my rear brake only when stopping from higher speeds. I also feel I'm easy on my brakes.
 
I've got almost 17k on front/rear pads.

I'm starting to squeal a little during hard stops in the front only but the thickness still looks fine. Most of my miles are stop and go so i use the brakes a lot but not near as abusive as someone who drives the twisties on the weekend so that's probably why I'm getting good life out of them.

Pads are cheap and easy to replace so I wouldn't push it too much, check the manual for the specs and if they are out, change them. I think it took me 10-15 minutes to change front and rears last time.

Thing I'll be checking next is my discs which I think are now out of spec. Those are expensive...
 
Changed my fronts at about 4000 miles , to ebc hh pads , they were not worn out , just did not like them , were a lot better :lol:
 
Replaced the rear at 18k miles, old pads still good. Now at 20k miles, the front are still original.
 
In 23,000 miles I'm on my second set of front (1/2 of pad still there) and 4th set of rear as of last weekend.

I have a tendency to use the rear brake more in slow traffic and to squat the bike just prior to using the front break coming into hard corners.
 
It must be the style and type of riding...19,000 and still wear left, but I've gone through three rear tires and two front tires.
 
Fronts still going at 20, 000 miles but third set on the back. Tend to ride F50/50R on the brakes in the dry and F75/25R in the wet. 8)
 
Rear Pads

Changed the rear today at 16700. The front was still good with about 2/3 wore down. I put EBC brake pads on today.
 
During the rear tire change inspected the rear pads and they are almost gone, only 8k miles on them. I have had the bike for 2K miles and try to use both brakes and gears when stopping. Hard to tell how the PO operated.
