I will of course replace the line, but will have to wait until I get home. There is no dealer any where close to Charleston, SC... A hazard with the triumph that others have mentioned, the thin dealer network.
I'd have thought just about any decent bike shop would have braided hoses. A leaking crimp connection is no JOKE. I'd lay into triumph good and proper.
Thanks... I believe I'll replace with braided lines, both front and rear. But I have never seen a leak like this before. I thought for sure that the banjo was loose, or the bleed fitting loosened up... but no luck, it was leaking from where the hose is crimped to the banjo.
Will take it to the dealer in Jacksonville tomorrow.
call peter or scott at triumph usa.......should probably cover it......if not check bikebandit to see if they have the replacement part or of course after market......shouldnt be hard to find a replacement as the theory behind braking is straight forward........have had mine since 09 and have not seen this issue.....good luck
It sounds like you simply need to replace the crush washers at the banjo bolt. Less than $1 for two. I prefer copper over aluminum, but it really doesn't matter.
