Many Thanks!! I am enlightened. I used a 12 volt cigarette plug that came with the Garman (and provides 5.0 volt output) but was puzzled that it failed to charge the batteries and then the sound system was unavailable for the duration of the trip. I will look into this in more detail before Laguna or Americade next year.

good post G-Man....The technical stuff is handy but its just good to raise the bells so that when otehr captains think of doing a mod they can seatrch here and find out whats what... good show.
