Boneville Speedmaster

I've been working on this project and am about 1/2 done. Got the forward controls installed last week and this week looking to install the Ohlin's Fork Emulators:

A lot lighter than the Rocket and I can stand up over the seat. My shakedown ride I was leaning into the corners and managed to touch down the left feeler peg. Lot of fun and about half the weight of the Rocket.

I tried to get the Speedmaster but they are too costly compared to Honda. The Speedmaster is probably more comfortable. For the time being the CB will have to do.
The Bobber looks good with soft-tail configuration. Bars seem kinda too forward. Perhaps your arms are very long or your rides short. The Monza gas cap looks great. How about a close up?

Will this do?

Here's a close up of the brake reservoir lid with the same theme:

Actually the bike is so small it's a very comfortable reach to the bars. The seat can be moved forward and back about 2 inches, and right now it's as far back as it will go. I have to remind myself to sit up straight because I have a tendency to slouch. The gas tank only holds about 2.4 gallons so day long rides aren't what it's made for.

That Bobber is beautiful. When I down size a Speedmaster is in my top 3 wish list. I need the pegs back though due to my lower back and neck. I had the forward pegs on my Rocket and last 20 miles before I was screaming like a little girl. If they have that option for mid controls in the future I'm very interested.

Here's the stock setup and forward controls to compare:

The foot pegs are located just aft of the crank housing in the stock configuration:

With forward controls pegs are moved 175mm's forward to in front of the crank housing. The seat moves about two inches forward and back so peg and bar reach can be optimized. My bad knees prefer the longer reach to the pegs so they aren't as bent. I can also hook my heels over the pegs to ride like highway bars.

Probably the seat forward aids with tracking in the turns. I don't have that option on the CB. Going to try a set of pegs on some engine guards. Will look ugly but help in a tilt over and with my achy knees. The OEM stock bars came in so I can sit upright. Well see how that goes.

I must say that is what a Bobber should look like. Not a chrome guy anymore and that black looks the shi*. That is something I would have if I ever give up the little touring I do and just want to hit the back roads. Very cool bike. I'm actually saving the pic for future MM when I downsize for reference. I dig it.
