Belated "Hello"

I've been a member here since April 08, but I've never really been a member - until today, when I made my deal for new R3T.

So: I'm here is South Florida where I get to ride all year round. Unfortunately, the nature of my profession keeps me off the road far to much, but I'm out there every chance I get. When we travel the wife and I usually trek on over to Europe for a few weeks every year, (talk about a society on two wheels!) but I'm hoping that the R3T will make her more amenable to some motorcycle travel.

I'd rather ride than do anything else, but I enjoy photography, all kinds of music (except rap/hip-hop, etc.) and movies - especially older ones.

Our first trip will be to Daytona for Bike Week, where we already have reservations for the last weekend - so I'm hoping to meet some of you there - if not on the boring, flat roads of Florida! I'm banking on the Rocket to make them a little more interesting!

Boring flat roads in Florida, you must not have traveled south of Jax to the Palatka area. Another area is west Florida especially on 90 and roads north of it after Tallahassee.

Welcome to the site, don't be too disappointed in Daytona, last time I went in '08 I stayed a total of about 4 and a half hours and then left to go southwest towards Tampa by way of Blue Springs and Orlando and then on down the west gulf coast of Florida and back across "Alligator Alley" and then onto Key West. Then traveled from Key West back to Molino, FL in one day.

You are right though....south FL has some flat roads.

Welcome and get a life. Florida, Europe, R3T, sounds like you got it go'n on. lol
What part of Europe do you visit? I lived in Germany for three years and saw a good part of Europe. Italy was interesting, but the Germans won me over with thier grub.

Welcome - officially

Well, South Florida huh? Welcome aboard to the site. I have been searching the last day or two, and there is some great stuff here!!

Hope to come down in the spring to Daytona. A group of us came down last spring (actually left 8 inches of snow here in the Charlotte area) and had a blast. First night race and the crowds were down (I heard).

I hadn't been back to Daytona since 1984, so it was a real treat. Hopefully we can meet up in the spring in 2010.

If you get the chance to come up here to the Smokies, let us know ahead of time.
