I have the high idle speed again, at the dealers today one of them asked me to post this question:- "has anyone had this problem on a bike without the additional clock or fuel gauge". He has noticed that all the Rockets he has seen with the high idle fault have had the clock fitted. Slim chance I know but worth asking the question.

Yea, I'm booked in for new TPS next week. Triumph are now saying that there is no problem with the TPS and don't wan't to know about it & refuse to accept it as a problem across the globe. Maybe everyone with the problem should let them know about it. Dealer is saying that they have had a number of Rockets with this fault & the TPS seems to fix it, Triumph say it would happen with other models also, but in fact it seems to be on the Rockets only.Mine was done 2 years ago but the fault now returned, am I supposed to have a new TPS every couple of years? Maybe it's a built in fault just to generate income. I've told dealer that Triumphs after sales is soft brown smelly stuff, let's hope the new one sorts it once & for all.

I suspect they change them out because it's easy and it covers their ass. I bought a new one, but tried resetting with TuneEcu first, it's been fine ever since, I never installed the new one.

I had both the Clock and the Fuel Gauge fitted..of all the problems I had none were high speed idle problems

Yep also had both on my Classic, no high idle problems - but occasionally had low idle and would stall when slowing for a stop at junctions.
