Added Thunderbike TBars - Highly Recommended

Actual URL is; Thunderbike - Triumph aftermarket motorcycle parts specialist

Have used TPP in the past and found them good retailer to deal with. Ditto, I cannot understand why Burleigh bars are so expensive?

Because they are Stainless and much more engineered with indents to fit clutch perch and brake cylinder etc with the 2" version.

I have Thundebike 1.5" fitted still that are great and came with my Roadster but picked up a set of used Burleigh Rocket bars and they are awesomely made and presented in Stainless and amazingly light.

I have just fitted a set of T bars that I bought off that well known Internet auction site, unused and came with genuine Triumph heated grips installed either end.
I think that the bars are actually Thunderbird bars, and I had to grind a section of the master cylinder away for the correct fit, (actually i say i had to....i lie they were fitted by a very competent mucanik at my local independent dealership in North Devon.)
Now fitted they have made a massive difference to the way that I sit on the bike, so much more comfortable and the front end seems to turn in smoother.

If you bought your bars from Trevor then Your bars are VERY “similar” to the ones I’ve had made .....but my ones fit without any grinding needed ......he replaced those bars with 1 1/2 Thunderbars at a cost of nearly £400 .....I acquired a set of the same bars you have and had them copied and “slightly” tweaked

Not sure if it was Trevor, his fleabay name is tricky2300.
Either way I am very happy with the result and if your bars are tweaked and by definition better you are going to keep running out of them, I could not recommend them more highly!

Yes that was Trevor ....he offered them to me for a lot more than you paid for them but I only wanted them to look at and take measurements from and i didn't want the heated grips ........I did have a set of T bars made years ago and like you I had to remove some metal from the ally casting on the master cylinder (possibly some bikes have slightly thicker castings).....all the stock parts fit on my bars with no modifications needed

I think there might be a batch of Rockets / don’t know what year or model that have a slightly thicker ally casting on the brake master cylinder .......out of the 30 sets of bars I have sold so far only 1 has had the same problem as yours....it is easily fixed (if you have a dremel or die grinder)

My Rocket is on a 63 plate and is a Roadster in gloss black with the twin red stripes if that is any indicator?

There is no way of telling.....it’s no big deal to grind a bit off to make it fit......so far from the 35 sets I have sold only 1 needed grinding and that was a 16 plate ......the bars are all identical as they are made on a jig .......If anyone has the same problem I am quite happy to make any of your master cylinders fit my bars (free of charge)......you can either send me yours and I will do it and send it back the nextday ...alternatively I can send you another master cylinder on an exchange basis
