7.5 Key fuse Blowing out

If there was an aftermarket system hooked up to that circuit like a horn or extra lights it will blow the fuse.

Put a tail tidy on with new blinkers. Unplugged the blinkers and is still blows the fuse

From my youtube viewing, I found out that Triumph has a bad batch of 7.5A fuses. Ones that were installed and ones that were included to use as a spare.

Thus, for a quick fix, it was recommended (again, for a quick fix), to use the included spare 10A fuse instead. Well, until the time you can roll up to an auto store to buy an unaffected 7.5A fuse.

So, if you have a Rocket that is like 3 years old or something, buy new fuses from a good source and replace, just in case.

I am having the same problem, but with the headlight one!

What is the story on the 10amp battery fuse? The fuse box says 7.5amp
There is a recall- Triumph has upgraded the fuse to 10 amp.

Just had this happen to me. I suspected the rear turn signal, since it was damaged from someone bumping into it. Sure enough, the signal having been pulled out slightly and bent a bit caused a short, blowing the fuse every time I attempted to start the ignition. Waiting on a replacement light to connect, test, and reinstall.

Yea I don’t see how that would be a fix. All you’re doing is changing the resistance in the circuit by upping the fuse size. If it’s popping a 7.5 by putting a 10 amp it’ll increase the amperage in the circuit. These manufacturers think keyless is the way to go… keyless sucks. I have a 2020 rocket 3r. I’ve owned it for 4 years and have put 47k miles on it. Only two issues in that time… one new battery, and the **** key fob. The key fob has been a nuisance the entire time I’ve owned the bike. I actually have a buddy who’s an automotive technician and a locomotive electrician. He said he’s going to look up some wiring schematics on my rocket and see about wiring in an actual ignition switch on the bike so I can make a physical key for it like a normal vehicle.
