Dear all

My 2020 rocket3 is experiencing abnormal vibrations 4000 rpm while riding, regardless of whether it is in nutral,1st,2nd and 3rd gear.
therefore,I decided to have it overhauled this winter.
When dealer mechnic opened the engine, it was found that O-ring on the rea balancer shaft was damaged or deformed.
The dealar reported this abnormality to Triumph.
The following are possible causes of this problem as mechanical engineer.
1.A worker made a mistake when assembling the O-ring onto the shaft and then attaching them to the case, resulting in an incorrect assembly.
2.A different O-ring,although very similar in dimentions(slightly large size), was used.
Personally, I suspect it is a combination of 1 and 2.
I would appreciate your opinions on this situation.
The O-ring was damaged, causing the axial center of
balancer shaft to become misaligend.Ibelieve that the abnormal vibration occurred at 4000 rpm because the balancer shaft rotated in this state.

Another covid bike. They forgot to put the spacers between my ABS module and the engine. Took them almost a year to figure it out. They were in the process of buying the bike back when it was discovered. I feel like they know lots of the covid bikes were just thrown together with no thought or care. I hope they take care of it for you.

Is that gear timed, counter weighted, did this vibration just start or has it been with you awhile? I would think the o-rings would be to control oil flow, either restricting or sealing.

I found the interesting fact, the storm
May not have had assembly lube.
Assembly fault rubber oring cut during assembly.
Is the support hole still good?

Thanks for your opinions. This rear side balancer shaft is a dead shaft.Only balancer wheel is rotated.
On the other hsnd, front side balancer shaft does not have o-ring.I do not know the reasons. In addition, rear balancer shsft of storm engines does not have o-ring.I asked triumph, however still I have not got the response. I believe this is designe fault of triumph,as I am a mechanical engineer.

I found contact mark on the shaft and shaft hole both. however both msrks are very light, not serious.
My engine was compreated to assemble without using o-ring for the rear balancer shaft, after getting confirmation that no need to use o-ring for the rear balancer shaft, such as storm engines from triumph.
So,now my overhauled engine is very fine without abnormal 4000rpm vibrations.
So, broken o-ring made not correct position of radial direction of rear balancer shaft. This made abnormal vibrations at 4000 rpm, I believe.

The experienced mechanic of dealer tried to assemble the O-ring to the balancer shaft and both incert to the shaft hole. Unfortunately, it was impossible to assemble correctly and o-ring was distortioned abnormally and broken. He tried two times, but it was impossible.

You have an amazing dealer and great tech at dealership
