I agree that is going to be painful. I quit doing that even in cars. Why dog yourself so much? once you are there you will be spent and not even recuperate before you leave and dog yourself to death on the way home?
Oh I hope this is a run in the spring or summer

YES why kill yourself for WHAT ? take a plane and then rent a bike when your there or a car enjoy yourself

1K a day for 4 days forget it, you'd be smart to stick with 4-5 hundred miles a day. If you do pull it off sign up for the iron butt,might as well get something out of it bragging rights for that torcher .... Word to the wise scope out Triumph dealers along your trip and make sure you have road side assistance finding someone who knows how to work on Triumphs is rough. Stay away from motel 6's, motel 8's are fine not too expensive and there are enough of them to plan your trip to their destination..Call ahead in the morning to save reservations nothing worse than searching for a room at the end of the day.Believe me you'll want a hot shower and a comfortable bed by the end of the day. Truck stops are a good place to get a shower when you are on the road. You will be amazed at how much a shower and change of clothes will refresh you.
