Thanks for the recon, Lonnie!

I would like to break the cost down by beds. In other words, a couple will use one bed. There are 13 beds, but I think that room 8 should be for Lupe and his family and only count as two beds. Heck, they might go for a room with 2 queen beds. I’m not assuming anything!
But going with 12 beds, the cost would be approximately $230 total a bed for 5 nights. Even splitting a room at Motel 8 is going to be $250 per person with no kitchen. Every meal would be at a restaurant. Nicer hotels are considerably more. Heck, at least we would be sure to have bacon! And oatmeal!

If we wanted to go out for a night on the town Norm‘s suburban and my Benz will hold 14 people. Everyone else has to walk.
The Quality Inn is sold out that month and late Sept.
There is a Dollar General 3 miles from the cabin. Jasper is 10 miles away and Harrison is 30 minutes. My vote is for this place. Yes, the driveway is a mile and a half long of gravel and dirt but I’m sure it is better than 200 yards of Spider Creek boulders.
Thoughts?
