2013 Triumph Trophy Touring Bike!

HUH?
Triumph brings out a "new' bike reentering the cruiser market??
What have we got, a dirt bike?
Then this.
Ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, electronic cruise control,
electronic suspension, electrically adjustable screen,
integrated audio system with Bluetooth functionality,
linked ABS, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System.

About all the stuff that would make the Rocket Touring
a REAL touring bike to compete with the Vision, Gold Wings, and FL-whatevers.
But they won't add the stuff to the Rocket,,,,
What are they smokin' over there?
The American market would jump on that.
Of course, our bikes wouldn't be AS unique then,
but hey, if it gets more people into the family
and gives Triumph a bigger market share, it's all good.
So WHY won't they do it again??????

The target for this model appears to be the K1600GT.

Unfortunately our idea of a touring motorcycle has devolved into something like a two wheeled Winnebago. A 6.6 gal fuel tank, suspension by WP and a 10,000 mile service interval are major pluses. Personally I wouldn't worry about the electronics. Last time I checked, the name Lucas was nowhere to be found on a Triumph motorcycle.

If they are able to significantly undercut the price of the big BMW, and by all indications they will, this should be a big winner for Triumph.

Well that's a step forward on my old Trophy 1200. Now if they could only make it run like that old 4-pot engine in 6th. smoooooooth:cool:
