  1. head lights

Such **** things like headlights permanently staying on just annoy me. Virtually every motorcycle manufacturer implies that most of the bikers are inept, so that the motorcycles have to be equipped with such "security" systems.
  2. TORS with non TOR tune

What's the difference between those two separate tunes for cat-delete with stocks?
  3. TORS with non TOR tune

Louder and less restrictive exhaust tends to make leaner air/fuel (bigger volume of unburnt mixture finds its way to exhaust manifold due to easier flow- that's why aftermarket, louder exhaust pops or backfires more often). I reckon that engine with ECU should manage to adjust itself to altered...
  4. Underseat K&N air filter

I'm riding 2005 Rocket III with cat-delete (running TOR engine tune). I'm about to buy underseat K&N air filter (as a replacement of stock filter). And here's my question- is there any noticeable boost in torque or power after replacement? And most important- does the K&N interfere with engine...
  5. oil / water temp guage

I'm also thinking of doing such mod- It'd be good to know what temperature are you running in. I reckon that it's not a difficult thing- coolant temp can be read via Triumph service computer.
  6. My first time..........

Red told that these clamps do better sealing http://www.verociousmotorsports.com/Sho ... aust-Clamp
  7. My first time..........

Yes Red Rocket, you did 8) When the leak occured the guys at the workshop eventually fabricated new clamps. I can't comprehend why the Triumph doesn't add new clamps to cat delete order
  8. My first time..........

Today my big triple has undergone my first modification- heavy and ugly cat box has been replaced with cat delete- oh yes! Bearing in mind my former bike (S83 Intruder with empty Jardine- left and Screaming Eagle- right pipes) I decided to stick to stock mufflers. The guys at the workshop...
  9. MORE POWER AT 3/4 THROTTLE?

?? I didn't know that 5-6 beers can be that bad
  10. MORE POWER AT 3/4 THROTTLE?

Happens throughout whole rpm range, yet it is most explicit when high-speed riding (abt. 80-90 mph). I rarely ride fast (most of the time I keep 60-65 mph when not in traffic), but during weekend I had an excursion with my buddies - only 2 days and 500 miles (most of the time on narrow mountain...
  11. MORE POWER AT 3/4 THROTTLE?

Yup. I have also noticed the same- fully stock 05 R3. It is the best noticeable on fourth, fifth gear. When maxing the throttle and then slowly decreasing at 80-90% throttle I feel slight boost in acceleration.  Don't know which tune I'm running- guys at the workshop have told...
  12. Finally got my bike back after gearbox inspection

    What's happened to yours?
  13. Finally got my bike back after gearbox inspection

I haven't had time to write much, but now the situation has changed. As a reminder- on march during a trip I noticed suspicious noises coming out from the rear left-hand end of the engine- something like audible grinding, especially when riding on higher gears, along with a rattle at 2800-3000...
  14. OMG Engine Stacks!

The best idea is to cover those stacks with properly designed and crafted water-proof "Raask" covers when the bike is parked- this will prevent any water to gather in stacks and deter the water from interfering the engine operation. BTW: Raask should be offering something like that.
  15. R3T Clutch Rattle Noise

Hi Valk! You should have this checked- any metallic sound is not acceptable. Mine R3 gives off rather different sound, it's like low-pitch rumbling when the clutch is de-pressed (engaged), it bears resemblance to the sound that laundry washing machines make at low rpm.
  16. R3T Clutch Rattle Noise

My 2005 Rocket III also has a decent clutch rattle. Because I don't like this noise very much I try not to ride slower than 65 mph on top gear.
  17. Odometer failure

Ugh... before winter storage I washed my bike thoroughly, so maybe water got to these wires.
  18. Odometer failure

I think that few cold start cycles won't fix it. My is 2005 with 6500 miles, and on 21st March I'm taking her for a big service ( engine oil and brake pads change, throttle bodies balance etc.) - the guys at the dealer told me that they will also fix the odometer, so in two weeks I'll be able to...
  19. Odometer failure

Despite today's temperature revolving closely around freezing point me and my friend decided to take our bikes for a short trip. After few kilometers I realised that my odometer was dead (it might've been since starting the bike)- its tiny LCD screen on the speedometer doesn't show anything. I...
  20. Louder exhaust

Yup. But Cat delete and aftermarket exhaust is to consume some time- thus this is a job for winter. Something like drilling the mufflers or debaffling will give more rumble 'n thunder?
