To modify or not to modify.... that is the question

So, people are getting 160 to the wheel with, or without parts and (of course) tuning? I'm thinking with a Carpenter exhaust, ram air intake, and good tuning, I should be sitting in the 150-170whp range when the day comes. They're rated at 140 at the crank from the factory, and I'm guessing...

To modify or not to modify.... that is the question

Kinda far fetched imo, but we all know about dyno numbers lol. Go see what she traps, and calculate that with the weight, then tell me what you think about those dyno #s.

To modify or not to modify.... that is the question

Just because you have go-fast parts doesn't mean you have to beat on it all the time. I say modify it now while you can, and the second you think she's broken in, floor the piss outta her. I bought mine with less than 1300 miles, and it has been down the track 20-30 times. Modded or not doesn't...

    Tuning in my area

Thanks guys, that's very reasonable. So we're all on the same page in that I need a Power commander 5 as the device to do this correct? Maybe check with the tuner to see if he / they sell?

What would he charge if I had the parts on, and whatever tuning device he uses?

    Tuning in my area

Ok, it won't be for a while, but they can do this remotely? Also thank you very much for the help, I don't know exactly why I'm so stumped when it comes to understanding the tuning for these bikes.

    Tuning in my area

Hello all, I'm considering adding Carpenter exhaust and a Ram air intake to my 2016 Roadster. At the moment, I'm bone stock. The only thing that is holding me back is the tuning aspect of the whole thing. I'm just looking for recommendations on who in my area / (if any) know these Rockets...

Maint of Rotrex Supercharged bike TTS-Performance

I've owned several (self lubricated) centrifugal superchargers on cars / trucks with no problems, just don't beat on them until your motor is up to operating temperature, and change the oil in the gear case of the unit when it says so, and you should be golden. I'm guessing these are self...

MUFASA is 100% tuned, and the numbers...

That's awesome man, I'd love to rip through a couple of gears on that thing! I am however; trying to focus on my car instead of the bike, now all I can do is look on-line at go fast mods for my Rocket.

How To: Fit Carpenter Racing 210/240/265hp Kit (Inc. Dialling In Cams)

So these higher compression rod / piston kits are the same weight as the stock parts? I don'e ever hear about people re-balancing the entire rotating assembly because a change of bob weight

You can sleep at the light for ever, won't effect your ET at all, your 60' on the other hand..... Nice run though!!! That's a nice performing set-up you have!

    Ran a 12.250@106 in 5000' air

Had a fun night in SLC at their midnight drags, ran very consistently, and beat out a CBR 929, and some sort of Kawasaki bullet bike, the Honda trapped 126, the Kawi trapped 130, but both stuggled at the light, and horrible 60' times. Out of 3 runs, my worst light was an .051!!! This thing is...

    Any tuners try running E85

Good info Clavigar, what was the Turbo car you mentioned, and did you get pretty good gains with the Ethanol? I wasn't much of a believer until I ran it, and seen the time-slips

    Any tuners try running E85

I have a supercharged 2011 Mustang, and it runs fine with varying E content, from E65-E85, but those cars are blessed with factory wideband 02 sensors that'll take care of fueling adjustments of most Ethanol varients within reason. I run either a Gasoline tune for 91, or an E85 tune for pump...

    Any tuners try running E85

Pretty much race gas at the pump for pump gas price. I'd get on that and make a thread here when you get her sorted out!
