    Need locking gas cap

YOU ARE THE MAN! Thank you Ishrub! I ordered the one from britishbikebits.. It should arrive between March 24th and April 7th. I will be using my V-Strom 650 for work until the gas cap gets here. It has a locking gas cap. I was just glad that whoever siphoned the gas did not throw away the gas...

    Utah Rides!

I have ridden the Burr Trail. From the intersection of UT-12 and the Burr Trail it is about 30 miles of absolutely gorgeous riding on paved road. At that point one reaches the edge of the Capitol Reef National Park. At this point the road turns to dirt/gravel. Not too far after this point there...

    Need locking gas cap

Thank you Ishrub. It appears the Triumph part is no longer being made. Multiple sites indicate it is no longer available. I have emailed the manufacturer of the after market one since it appears they do not ship to the U.S. Depending on what they say, maybe one of our English brothers would be...

    Need locking gas cap

With gas prices rising fast, I had someone siphon the gas out of the tank of my 2014 R3T while I was at work. The bike is parked in the parking area of a strip center so there is no telling who did it. Fortunately for me, there was enough left to get to a nearby gas station. Does anyone know of...

    Glasses and snowmobile helmet

The pinlock keeps the visor from fogging up but does not help with glasses fogging. In cool/cold weather, the cooler air causes the lenses of the glasses to be cool/cold. When exhaling, the moist warm air of the breath condenses on the lenses of the glasses. The electrically heated visor warms...

    Glasses and snowmobile helmet

I am not sure. The HJC i90 is DOT approved. I chose i90 because it is modular, is relatively inexpensive, has an electric shield, and is DOT approved.

    Glasses and snowmobile helmet

I moved from Florida to Utah 2 years ago. Obviously, the winters are very different. I like to ride year round and the cold has been a big adjustment. I wear glasses and they fog up quickly when the temperatures are in the low 60's Fahrenheit or lower. Anti fog solutions do not work on my...

Just Installed A Tachometer On My R3T

My KOSO BA035113 tachometer just stopped working. The needle sweeps upon powering up. However, when the engine starts, it stays at zero. After about a minute, the needle moves to 8.000 RPM and stays there. It does not respond to the engine at all. Checked all the connections and they are good...

Damaged crankcase with pictures -- FIXED

It has been 10,000 miles and 19 months since the repair to the kickstand. There have been no problems with the repair and it has been as stable as it was originally. As hoped for, this rather simple fix has been very effective.

Hoping to meet up with y'all at Arches National Park on Tuesday. I am planning on arriving at the Devil's Garden Trailhead at Arches National Park around 11 am and eat barbecue at the Blu Pig (811 S Main St, Moab, Utah, 84532) around noon. I will fill up after eating and then continue on to the...

    R3 Autobahn Acceleration Performance Video

Stock or modified? From what I have read on this board, the range of models and performance modifications is significant. It would be fun to see.

Damaged crankcase with pictures -- FIXED

Thanks. It is fixed. I shared the fix earlier in this thread. It is on the top of page 10 of this thread. So far the fix is doing well.

Damaged crankcase with pictures -- FIXED

In my case, I think that when one of the straps broke (it was the one on the brake side going from the back of the bike toward the front attachment point) the bike went down on the side stand. I am assuming that either the initial fall, and/or the culmination of bouncing in the truck on the side...

    Kick stand question

Thank you @Joesmoe for referencing my post when my kickstand came off in the move. Thank you @Paul Bryant for your pictures and saying what you to fix your bike which led to our solution. I agree, shipping a 900 pound motorcycle on its kickstand is foolish. Definitely won't let someone make that...
