    20050 Great Result

It's freely available in the TuneEcu site. It de-restricts the secondaries (100%) so full power and corrected fuelling is attained. The exhaust needs to be less restrictive to get the best but a Dyno chart accompanies the tune, overall better fuel consumption unless ridden in a sprited manner...

    run away bike

Once the throttle cables have been ruled out of the equation, the TPS will be the next culprit. The ECU has several sensors in the injection system to feed it info on certain parameters like Temp,(ambient and engine), pressure, (barometric and manifold), crank position, You get the idea. The ECU...

    20050 Great Result

Have been playing around fora while now with the 20050_dyno tune with TuneEcu and have had great results. R3C 06 cat delete, gutted std exhausts, std intake, much improved running with no restrictions. If anyone is interested let me know and I can mail. Setup beforehand is advised. :D

    Rear Lamp Mod

Did this to mine by using a Bonnie rear lamp and bracket. Just minor mods to the wiring but the mod is totally non invasive, so can be returned to standard if required.

    How to TuneECU Video

Much the same as you Hanso and dougl, I have been in the 'trade' one way or another all my working life and the first time I saw TuneEcu I admit, I was rather confused, but I researched the subject with all the info available and read it till I knew what did what, there is a vid on utube...

    Instruments Dead.....Bike runs fine...What gives?

I don't know if it's any help but I have an 06 R3C and I have carried out several cable mods to make things better. One of the problems I found was where the guage loom passes from the bars to the frame, as the bars are turned the loom doubles itself up by bending in one place on the loom. I was...

    Headstock Bearings (Wandering)

No more suprised than I mate, the most surprising bit was the top bearing was more notched than the lower which is opposite to the norm. On the bright side it now rides like a brand new bike....which it near enough is.

    Headstock Bearings (Wandering)

Went with after market branded bearings and have been fine. Had to make a tool to extract them as my puller would not fit but other than that, a straight forward job. As for wheel bearings, just make sure they are quality made bearings and not cheap Chinese copys.

Hunting for a bike lift that works

And some pics of it in action. Pulls the bike upright from the sidestand. The catbox mysteriously fell off just after this was taken. (shame). Guide it down with the front brake or that handle can hit your head. Don't ask! Measurements can be supplied.

Hunting for a bike lift that works

I wanted to find an inexpensive way of getting the R3 off the ground at first to replace the Headstock bearings and to perform all the maintenance/servicing but leave the sump drain plugs accessable. I came up with this idea, far from a new one but this is easily fabricated with one length of...

    Headstock Bearings (Wandering)

Was out riding on my R3C and noticed that it was wandering when in a straight line, sometimes to the left and sometimes to the right. Having only had the bike a few weeks and its only covered 4000 miles it seemed a tad odd. Inspected the front tyre and made the assumption that the Metz will take...

    Surfaced

Hi to everyone Have been submerged for a while and thought it was time to surface. Have just bought an R3C and totally love it. I have retired from the bike trade, (but still working) and still keep my hand in with repairs and servicing but usually on Triumphs. Have gained quite a bit of...

    She's gone ...

Sometimes out of something sad comes something happy, I may have your bike, I bought it from a dealer in Letchworth. It has gone to a very good home and gets pampered in a nice garage. Just looking through your post and it just seemed coincidental. Please feel free to pm the reg.

    Rocket Lift Stand.

And the one with measurements The material is 1"X1/8" steel box. The plate is 1/4" Steel. If I were to make another I would make the lug locating hole 1" higher for easier location. It leaves the rear tyre with 3" clearance when lifted.

    Rocket Lift Stand.

As promised here are some in action shots and some measurements if anyone would like to have a go. Please note I am more used to a drawing table than paint, (should have asked the kids).

    Rocket Lift Stand.

It will lift about 6" and the rear wheel can slip out easy, just getting it back in may present its own problems, but a wedge of wood may work wonders. It pulls the bike to upright from the sidestand with no real effort on the handle. As for going public....bearing in mind it is heavy and the...

    clutch safety switch

Having been in the motor trade for a good few years, personal opinion here is that I wouldn't let WD40 anywhere near any mechanical device. It's base ingredient is Parrafin blinged up with a few additives which when the Parrafin dries out leave a sticky gummy residue where ever it has been...
