I'm going to try the bridgestone rear tire and shock change. Could try another red motorcycle but the wife caught me doing the same color theme with remote controlled aircraft!! So I know she's keeping a beautiful eye or two on what goes in and out of the garage. After 43 years of marriage !!!!

    Roadster vs Touring model

It would be a real rush to have the carpenter kit and some improved suspension components , but! Is it worth the expense to do the upgrades to a 2005? I would still have the older timing chain ,the older clutch components, the lack of transmission upgrades and other triumph improvements! It may...

    Roadster vs Touring model

Love all the power and sound effects of the bike. I'll try some suspension up grades and tire combinations. I'ts not like the bike dosen't hold it's own on the back roads .But it does feel heavy and seems to require more input. Can't have a fully dressed out bike I guess and expect it to snap...

    Roadster vs Touring model

Babagris , Since I need to replace the rear tire I may as well try the taller Bridgestone and see if that decreases the required steering input. I sat on the Trophy SE and couldn't hardly touch the ground "sales person that the height of the seat was a problem . Foot pegs to far aft of seat...

    Riding Style

I always try to rev my engine when down shifting .I have found the transmission excepts the down shift allot better. I run my bike with std exhaust when on long distant rides( allows my satellite radio to give me the tunes I need for the road) . Around town I use Triumph Performance exhaust ...

    Tires

Just came back from a 800+ trip . i had to ride in some torrential rain down pours. Had a new Metz up front and the rear with 25% lifespan remaining. Bike road like it was on rails.Never let me fill it was getting loose. The bike and I were soaked and my respect for the Metz performance went way up.

    Help me decide !

comparisons I have found my current 2005 Rocket to be very reliable. It seems that the Rocket has been constantly improved upon by the mfg. I wouldn't hesitate to upgrade to a purchase a new one. I haven't ridden the Thunderbird but I have sat on one in the showroom. It seemed small , thinly...

    Engine up date mods

The bike is 7 years old and always kept in the garage. I don"t beat the bike ,but I always push it hard . I invested about $21000 to have it optioned the way I wanted it. I was laid up medically for 4 + years and that kept the mileage down. This is as I stated my second rocket .The first one...

    Engine up date mods

I was trying to prepare myself . For the what ifs ! A 2005 bike seems to be worth about 5 to 7 thousand . Would it be worth putting thousands of dollars to up grade the bike ? or just trade her in for a newer model? How much would I have to spend to split the case,do the bearing mods,install...
