    Speedometer Failure

Yeah... my plan is to check some connections when I get a chance. It came to life last night for one small 2 mile trip, but then it died again today. I will keep you guys posted on my progress... I have 15 K miles on her now, and this is really the first issue I have had... I hope it is not...

    Speedometer Failure

Anybody just have their speedo quit on them? Today, I was on a ride, and it just quit. One second it was working, and the next it wasn't. My odometer doesn't even change.... that's a plus for me I guess, but I would still like to fix the issue. I think New York State would have some...

    She;s Home

Congrats! Let's see some pics! The number 1 and 2 comments/questions I get are... Is that a car tire? and Is that a V8??

    Front tire sorrows….

I got about the same out of my front tire. It really wears quick when you put new rubber on the rear as well. I went with the stock Metzeler on the front, but for the rear I went Darkside, and I will not go back. The bike handles near exactly the same dry, and better when wet. I don't expect...

    Hello from M109 owner

I have the same thing to offer about the Rocket vs. the 109. I demoed them both one right after the other at Americade a few years back. The Rocket is the way to go for 2 up if that is what you do. My wife and I ride a lot, and I have no complaints... the only time I make her get off is when...

    Northeast r3 ride

Yeah... If we get enough interest, I think we can pull it off. As of right now, I know of 3 R3's in my region, including my own. When I went to Americade this year up in Lake George, I only saw 2 others as well. If we could get a group of 10 or so of us, that would be worth kicking something...

    Clock and Fuel Gauge Install

Well.. went diving and got them done... there were 3 clips unused, and I used 2 of them. The toughest part was getting the gauges aligned to look good.

    Clock and Fuel Gauge Install

Anyone ever install a clock or fuel gauge? I just got a set, but they don't have instructions with them... They look like there must be a spot in the harness for them. I just don't want to go diving too far into the harness without knowing where to go.

    Small leak

Welcome Slabs... Yeah, you wont regret your purchase.... If you put a lot of miles on, start doing some research for some new rubber...$$$

    10k service

Pig, thanks for the help. Stick, that is what I am thinking is the case for me. I would imagine that I would notice a performance change or some valve noise if I needed to make adjustments. I will inspect them and let you know how it goes. I have used Amsoil and Golden Spectro since the day...

    10k service

I am thinking of doing my own work.. Like Hellfire, I HATE letting other people touch my stuff for the sole reason that I do not trust them. Every time I have let someone else do work on one of my toys, I have had to fix it myself anyway. In any case, does anyone have any recommendations on...

Hey Fox.. how many miles did you have on it when you pulled the pan?

    Noisy Engine

WOW.. I bet that was a surprise when it happened. I have an 05 with 12K on it. I bought it last year and since put 6K on it......no issues. Internal engine noises are definitely nothing to ignore, though. I would take her to the dealer and have them take a look. Triumph has great customer...

Front tire to go with my rear

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good front tire to go with the darkside? I have the 225 Raptor on my rear, and it seems to help wear the front out a little faster than a stock tire would. I was what you guys were going with for fronts and how long they are lasting.

    Northeast r3 ride

Oh.. and as far as Canada goes... I grew up in Buffalo, and use to cross with no problems, but now I hear they pretty much want you to have a passport as of this year. I have mine and use it a lot, so I don't worry about that sorta thing. From what I can tell, if you want to go to Canada now...

    Northeast r3 ride

No kidding.. I wish I knew about that. I live right in Ballston Spa... I know that Americade and Laconia are usually the first couple weeks in June, so that may come into play, but I would really like to do something different, so that is why I suggested it. The Adirondak region as well as VT...

    Northeast r3 ride

Is anyone interested in getting together for a ride in the Northeast? Or for that matter, does anyone know of an organized R3 ride in the northeast? I am from just north of Albany, NY and would be interested in some sort of a ride. GO BIG OR GO HOME!

Metzeler ME 880 Marathon XXL Rear Tire

Cornering on my darkside is pretty much effortless... I LOVE THAT PIC by the way. After the first few miles, it becomes second nature. I have no complaints at all. I have had the comment that it looks crazy when I am cornering, but thats about it. Highway riding is great, just like you would...

Metzeler ME 880 Marathon XXL Rear Tire

Go darkside... 100 bucks for a Riken Raptor... will last you 30K instead of 6K miles. I put mine on just over 1K ago, and I don't regret it at all. It was worth the risk of wasting the 100 bucks.

    Newest Member to the Darkside

Just put the Riken Raptor, 225/55/16, on today...can't wait to take it for a rip! I also balanced it with Dyna Beads. Got rid of that ugly stick on weight. They are suppose to dynamically balance the tire for the life and ride like glass. I have heard nothing but good things about them. We...
