    d on a friend's bike and when I checked it out didn't mater whether the washer was in there Or not Of coarse I am not sure if we are talking about the same washer.

    the clutches will take some abuse but if they keep slipping then they will get extremely hot and go bad. a couple of slips will not hurt them so probably good. sounds to me like you need to put some play in that cable.

    To my understanding that if you brain dead the ecm (with bat disconnected touch the pos terminal to negative terminal) this will reset the ecu to original new specs might still run rough till you do let motor run until fan comes then let run for 12minutes (aka 12 minute tune)

    you can change the fuel in the tank then with the new fuel it will dilute the old fuel but u still have that old gas in the fuel rail so i would recommend using starting fluid so as to get the engine warmed up to burn that old gas out of the rail.

    i always write down the codes b4 clearing. good to clear to see what comes back. if you turned on the key while you had some stuff unhooked then it will set a lot of codes. take a 12 volt test light and check all the fuses on both sides of the fuse. clean the grounds also there is a ground...
