Ride
rocket 3 r
Hi all, looking at purchasing a used Rocket 3 R, hopefully as soon as this weekend, I would like to remove the rear mudguard and plate mount, I am liking the look of the evo tail tidy but it seems quite expensive, is it a good idea and worth the money?

It's worth what you're willing to pay. I didn't mind the rear plate mount as much as the goofy little fender so I just took the fender off. The turn signals werer aftermarkets when I bought the bike.

Thanks, yes i am leaning towards leaving it alone, I don't seem to mind the standard one, the more I look at the bike it doesn't seem to affect the look as it's almost separate from the rest of the bike.

It was the added unsprung weight on an already "struggling" IMO rear shock that made me ditch the scaffolding. But if I take a ride where rain might be involved, I can just bolt the fender back on with 3 bolts. NBD

Had not though of that, yes extra weight on the end of the swing arm, as for going out in the rain intentionally, not going to happen with me !!!
